Kenny G... yes, THAT Kenny G - just played on an Imperial Triumphant song.

So, yeah. As someone who grew up listening to metal and also having a Mother who was an intense fan of Kenny G, this is a mash-up I honestly N E V E R thought I would see. It was weird enough for me seeing Kenny G play on a Katy Perry song and appearing in the filmclip. On the other hand, I LOVE me a saxophone solo or section in a heavy song, so it's actually not a stretch to just go to THE guy for saxophone to play your solo.

So yeah, in absolutely off-its-guts news... smooth jazz saxophone guy, Kenny G, the curly-haired virtuoso saxophonist has played a deadset R I P P I N G sax solo on Imperial Triumphant's new single and video Merkurious Gilded.

G stands still and silent to the right hand side of the frame in the clip until about 2:50, when he steps into the frame. He and Max Gorelick, a guest guitarist (AND KENNY G'S OWN SON), then proceed to solo in unison for a MINUTE STRAIGHT.

It's precisely the exact kind of batshittery and chaotic energy you expect from Imperial Triumphant, and frankly, I am a bit disappointed in myself that I am surprised about it. This rules and I am here for it.

WAIT: DOES THIS MEAN THAT KENNY G'S LAST NAME IS GORELICK AND HAS BEEN THIS ENTIRE TIME? By Satan himself... it is.
