Kendrick Lamar has announced that his long awaited new album Mr Morale & The Big Steppas will arrive on the 13th of May.

The record will act as the follow-up to his fan adored, critically acclaimed, Pulitzer Prize-winning Damn. During that period of time, he also curated the Black Panther soundtrack, headlined Coachella and Splendour In The Grass, was nominated for Oscars and won Grammys.

The announcement was made on Lamar's socials, where he posted a simple statement with the album's title and release date.

It was announced on pgLang, a "new multi-lingual, at service company", which Lamar started with longtime collaborator Dave Free.

Mr Morale & The Big Steppas will be his last record on Top Dawg Entertainment. In August, he announced the news stating, "May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling. There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.”
