This line-up is becoming insane

More Kendrick Lamar Kendrick Lamar Profile

Having pulled out all stops for their 2016 line-up, recently adding music legend Tom Jones along with Noel Gallagher to a line-up already bursting with talent like The National, City & Colour and The Decemberists, today Bluesfest 2016 promoters have announced another huge international name — hip hop royalty Kendrick Lamar

The two-time Grammy-winning rapper will be heading up the five-day blues and roots extravaganza's first night (Thursday, 24 March), bringing his acclaimed third album To Pimp A Butterfly out to play.

Don't get yourself down if you can't make your way to Byron Bay though; Lamar has also announced two headline shows at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on Monday, 21 March and Sydney's Allphones Arena on Wednesday, 23 March.

Bluesfest 2016 tickets are still on sale from here while tickets for his headline dates go on sale 9am, Monday, 19 October.
