Following the success of his latest single, Dancing2, Australian performer Keli Holiday – real name Adam Hyde, one half of Peking Duk – has announced two local intimate headline shows for this November.

Likely to be the last time fans will be seeing Holiday in such intimate spaces, the high-octane shows will take place at Melbourne’s Howler on Friday, 14 November, and Sydney’s Mary’s Underground on Sunday, 16 November.

Announcing the shows, Holiday commented, “I got a fever for the flavour I tasted after the recent run of shows in Aotearoa. Let’s share some joy together and let’s sweat.”

Tickets are available now and aren’t expected to last long, so head to Keli Holiday’s website to lock in your opportunity to see one of this year’s local stars in a small venue.

The joyous, catchy Dancing2 is the first taste of Holiday’s upcoming, yet-to-be-announced second album.

The single has already hit #1 on the ARIA Australian Artist Singles Chart, topped the TikTok Viral chart, the Spotify Viral chart in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland, plus #2 on the Viral chart in the UK, and the top five of the Australian Shazam charts.

Fans will likely hear more new music along with the local debut of Dancing2. Holiday added, “The live show is where I really get my kicks as far as bringing the songs to life. It’s called a show for a reason. It’s my duty to put on a show and get everyone loose and sweaty.”

“I had no idea it would connect in the way that it has,” Holiday told The Music in a recent chat about the song’s unexpected success.

“But it really, to me, affirms the fact that we all love love. It’s a very simple thing; we’re all simple creatures. To see this wholesome resonance amongst people in reaction to the song is really, really something that’s beyond music to me. I’m in awe and lost for words.”

Outlining the social media trend attached to Dancing2, he added, “It was really this visceral, wholesome, human thing that made me cry tears of joy.

“[It started with] People getting married, then battling cancer, beating cancer, then it was people dying, then people being born… it became this all-encompassing picture of humanity. And to think that my song has soundtracked [those moments] is a trip!”

Holiday stated that the “whole thing” – from starting a TikTok trend to topping the Singles Chart in his home country – has been “emotional” in a “great and joyful” way.
