Following a heated week of much debate regarding Sydney's lockout laws, their impending review and Premier Mike Baird's defense of them, Keep Sydney Open have announced a public rally to take place this Sunday, 21 February.
Kicking off at Belmore Park in Central at 12.30pm, the rally will make its way into the CBD, ending at the famous Bar Century, which just announced its closure last week, where a tongue-in-cheek mock funeral will be held.
Fueled by the growing resentment of those who live and work in and around the late night precincts, Keep Sydney Open have enlisted Sydney band The Preatures' Isabella Manfredi as a speaker, along with Hoodoo Gurus' Dave Faulkner, Political Editor of Crikey Bernard Keane and Keep Sydney Open's own Tyson Koh.
Art Vs Science — who released a song just last week titled You Got To Stop in retaliation of the lockouts — will be performing on the day, along with Royal Headache, who have supported Keep Sydney Open in the past.

Keep Sydney Open are fighting for lockout exemptions for licensed venues with live music facilities, the lifting of restrictions on retail hours, late night public transport similar to Melbourne and a Night Mayor like Amsterdam and Berlin.
