While Kaytranada was announced as one of the headliners for this year’s AO Live at the end of the Australian Open (along with Kesha and Armand van Helden) earlier this month, fans have understandably been waiting for the Canadian producer, rapper and singer to announce more Australian tour dates.
Today, fans have gotten their wish, with Kaytranada announcing dates in Sydney and Brisbane and revealing that he was the teased “secret headliner” at Perth’s Ice Cream Factory festival (joining Hot Chip, The Jungle Giants, Cub Sport, and more).
Kaytranada’s Timeless tour begins at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Saturday, 18 January, before heading to Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, 23 January, AO Live on Friday, 24 January, and Ice Cream Factory on Saturday, 25 January.
For this tour, Kaytranada will present his brand-new live show following the release of his most recent album, Timeless. The LP features notable collaborations with acts including Tinashe, Anderson .Paak, Channel Tres, and Thundercat.
One of those collaborators, Channel Tres, will join Kaytranada on the upcoming national tour. Kaytranada will also be joined by additional special guests, Lou Phelps and Kitty Ca$h.
Pre-sale tickets to Kaytranada’s Timeless Australian tour will be available from Wednesday, 6 November, at 1 pm AEDT. Register to access your pre-sale tickets here. The general sale will be available from Thursday, 7 November, at 1 pm AEDT. You can head to the Untitled Group website for more ticketing information.

In a review of the performer’s show at Melbourne’s 170 Russell, The Music’s Michael Prebeg remarked, “Kaytranada's ridiculously funky tunes and popular remixes - including Rihanna's Kiss It Better and his re-imagination of Janet Jackson's If - are paired with nostalgic '90s video clips featuring tropical sunsets, bodybuilders and even cats.”
Prebeg continued, “It's clear that he puts all of his energy into this continuous genre-defying mix of cohesive rhythms. His refreshing sound gives us a rush of excitement and energy, and we feel like we could boogie all night.”
