Kate Miller-Heidke Teases Big Opportunity As Shows Postponed

Kate Miller-Heidke has announced she will be postponing several shows for her upcoming Catching Diamonds tour across the country — but has teased that something major is afoot.
In a statement via Instagram on Thursday (Nov. 14), she wrote: “I HATE having to write this message. The idea of inconveniencing you wonderful people who've spent your hard-earned money on my show makes me feel terrible. But here goes.”
“Unfortunately, I’m going to have to postpone 10 of the 40 shows during my upcoming tour. We're not cancelling - just postponing. We have new dates booked for every one of these places later in the year.”
“This is due to scheduling conflicts. ‘Scheduling conflicts.’ What a bullshit-sounding excuse!”
She teased, “I’m not allowed to talk about specifics yet, but an opportunity has come up that I really need to follow through and see where it leads me. It’s going to be amazing. But the timing really sucks.”
“I want you to know I have not taken this step lightly. I hate doing it and I wouldn’t even CONTEMPLATE such a thing under 99% of circumstances. In due course, you’ll find out what my reason was, and I hope you’ll understand. I also hope you can hang on to your tickets and come on this journey with me! I promise you with my full heart that when we come back together in August-October, the wait will be worth it.”

She added that the rest of the tour “will 100% be going ahead as scheduled. (Barring the usual acts of god, pandemics, floods, plagues of locusts, mad scientists etc).”
“The venues and their official ticketing providers will be in touch via email asap to confirm details with you shortly.”
Fans of the singer have already begun speculating what the exciting opportunity could be, with one commenter suggesting, “It's either performing at Mardi Gras🎉🌈 or an unannounced pre-act for Taylor Swift. Watch this space 👀 Don't say I didn't call it.”
Another agreed, commenting, “You're totes opening for Tay Tay.”
