Australian singer-songwriter Kate Ceberano and revered arts festival boss Rhoda Roberts have been named on this year’s Queen's Birthday list, one of country’s highest awards.

Former Adelaide Cabaret Festival artistic director and recent SA Walk Of Fame recipient, Ceberano will be awarded the prestigious annual prize “for significant service to the performing arts, particularly music, as a singer, songwriter and entertainer, and to charitable organisations.”

"I am so very proud and honoured to be receiving this award from this great Country of Australia that I love,” Ceberano said.

The Best Female Artist ARIA Award winner and National Breast Cancer Foundation ambassador – who released her Anthology in early May - will be presented The Officer Of The Order Of Australia (AO) in the General Division, alongside Roberts, who heads up Boomerang Festival.

Roberts work extends far beyond that of the producer and director of the Indigenous festival, also contributing to Sydney Opera House, Vibe Australia and more, and has been named on the Queen’s Birthday list “for distinguished service to the performing arts through a range of leadership and advocacy roles in the development, promotion and presentation of contemporary Indigenous culture."

Boomerang Festival returned this year, partnering with Bluesfest for a successful second event after its inaugural run in 2013.

Ceberano plays Tasmania this weekend with Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens and John Paul Young. For all details, see theGuide.
