Yeezus looks to knock Bernie’s Departures from top spot on the charts this week.
Bernard Fanning shot back to the top of the charts with his Departures record last week, making it two-from-two number one albums for the singer-songwriter in solo mode after the success of his Tea & Sympathy album of 2005. The previous record only managed to top the charts for one week, but Fanning is looking to beat that this week with Departures
The biggest threat to Fanning is Yeezus, the new record from everyone's favourite polarising rapper, Mr Kanye West, which was released just yesterday. We'll know a bit more about how he is tracking chart wise in the next couple of days.
You can also expect a big debut from Empire Of The Sun this week, as well as from Sigur Ros with their latest LP Kveikur. Country fans have been buying plenty of copies of Troy Cassar-Daley & Adam Harvey's The Great Country Songbook and The Lonely Island's third LP The Whack Album looks like it might chart relatively well also.
It's simply too early to tell to what extent The Voice winner Harrison Craig will dominate the singles chart this week. Last year's winner Karise Eden had four of the top five in the same week last year, but Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines could potentially hold strong after his appearance on the program's finale.
