You can hear new jam 'Kaleidoscoper' ahead of the show

Melbourne-bred electronic/trip-hop quintet Kalacoma recently unveiled their sensational new self-produced track, Kaleidoscoper, with the Victorian sound-smiths announcing a special launch appearance at Shebeen Bandroom next month.

The band will launch Kaleidoscoper on Thursday 16 June, with guests for the evening yet to be announced. The track itself is the first taste from the band's forthcoming second EP, and capably demonstrates the intelligence and maturity with which Kalacoma wield their sonic weapons, as you can hear for yourself.

From restrained, percussive origins, Kaleidoscoper weaves and winds its way through layered, atmospheric soundscapes, building on its minimalist, nuanced roots gradually and organically until all the ephemera exhales and expands through the track's back half; this is a track that appears unassuming at first glance, but becomes more infectious and impossible to ignore the longer that you listen to it.

Give Kaleidoscoper a spin below, and swing past the band's Facebook page to throw them a Like and keep on top of all their movements in the near future.
