Submission deadline also extended
The annual WAM Song Of The Year competition is in full swing again, and with local acts frantically submitting their tracks, this year’s judges have been unveiled.
Dew Process' John Mullen, NYC Jazz Records Magazine's Laurence Donohue-Greene, 4ZZZ's Chris Cobcroft, RTRFM's General Manager Jason Cleary, Australian Institute of Country Music's Geoff Walden, punk rock PR legend Chris Maric, multiple Golden WAMi Award winner Luke Rinaldi, ARIA-award winning Dave Hole, Gyroscope drummer/Hen House Rehearsal Studios owner Rob Nassif, Perfect Pitch Publishing's Clive Hodson and The Music’s own Daniel Cribb have all been locked down as judges in this year’s competition.
The announcement also comes with an extension of this year’s submission deadline, seeing the cut off moved to Friday 19 December at 12pm WA time, giving WA acts an five days to get involved for a chance at $40,000 worth of prizes.
Past winners include Timothy Nelson (2011), Rainy Day Women (2012), and Mathas (2013).
