Josh Pyke Tops Classical ARIA Chart

Folk pop connoisseur Josh Pyke has topped the Crossover/Classical ARIA Chart this week with his newest record Live At The Sydney Opera House, recorded with the esteemed Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

The ARIA-winning songwriter also debuted at #6 on the iTunes Chart, with the album featuring songs from Pyke's back catalogue, all reimagined with the SSO and conductor Christopher Dragon.

Pyke says of the album, "I’m so proud of this record. The whole experience was amazingly rewarding and a huge learning curve for me. I love the fact that these songs have been given a new lease on life in this new form."

Barely a year has passed since Pyke released his fifth LP, But For All These Shrinking Hearts. He's currently on a huge regional tour, hitting the road until 13 August.
