Josh Homme's Famous Desert Sessions Mixtape Returns With Royal Blood, Primus & More

It's been 16 years since the last installment of Josh Homme's famous Desert Sessions mixtape series, but the wait is finally over. 

Volume 11 and 12 of the rock'n'roll collection (released as Arrivederci Despair and Tightwads & Nitwits & Critics & Heels respectively) is set to drop on 25 October via Matador Records / Remote Control Records and, alongside the Queens Of The Stone Age frontman, features Mike Kerr (Royal Blood), Les Claypool (Primus), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint) and Jack Shears (Scissor Sisters) to name a few. 

The mixtapes were recorded within a week last December at Rancho De La Luna studios in California. Watcha  video of Homme discussing the new mixtape below.

Previous Desert Sessions mixtapes have a featured a number of famous names including PJ Harvey, Dean Ween, Twiggy, Mark Lanegan and Brant Bjork.
