"Both are acoustic videos of my new band Sleepsick, my name is Joseph Lacy and I used to play in the band Transit. There is currently no news on what I am currently doing, and now that I'm not in Transit, it doesn't mean that I am ever going to give up on my musical career. Music is truly my only passion in life, and write now there isn't much left in my life other than my 2 fender guitars, and my shitty acoustic guitar.
I am going to continue writing music for the remainder of my life, the people that I'm working with in Sleepsick are currently in college but are out now for summer and are almost as passionate as me to finish these two songs and four other that I've written in the past month. They go back to school in September and then they are done, these dudes are truly passionate about this band and we're going to complete a set as a live band and play just about any show we are offered after we get our songs together. I have friends all over the country that promote shows and are in bands that are going to help us out in any way as soon we finish writing our live set.
I'm extremely excited about this band and all the lyrics and guitars are going to be written by me, I'm going to be the lead singer and guitar player, Kevin Tse that filled in for Transit twice, played bass one time for us in Stoneham, MA when we were just starting and didn't have a real singer and on our east coast Make Do And Mend tour two winters ago, note: we almost died in the van in Arkansas, and did that whole tour together squeezed in the shittiest, coldest van ever, and I always loved playing with him in a band. He's going to be playing drums. Ryan Armando Alfonso is going to play bass and played about six transit shows whenever PJ was unavailable, and toured with us on one of our first tours ever with A Loss For Words and on the last tour I played on, with Senses Fail, Ryan flew out to tour the west coast with us, in honor of Tim's birthday, as a surprise we all set up for him. And a good friend of mine, Bill Long who played in a band called A Thousand Paper Cranes, you can find them on bandcamp if you are interested.
And when the guys go back to school in the fall, I plan to tour the country by myself on an acoustic guitar or have some available friends of mine fill in for the actual members of the band and then tour on their breaks of college. And then when the summer of next year comes, we can be a full-time band. So in the next year, I'm going to write as many songs as I can and then translate them to the dudes and perfect them as a band and write a full-length record. But as soon as we can, we plan to record a DIY demo. Thank you if you actual read this."
