José James to return for Australian shows in 2013

Fresh from his first Australian shows earlier this year, the genre-hopping singer will come back to play Sydney and Melbourne in 2013.

Chameleonic and futuristic singer-songwriter José James is set to return to Australia in 2013, with headlining Melbourne and Sydney dates just announced for February next year.

James has been building a reputation as one of the most versatile and original performers in modern jazz and RnB, with a musical history includes diverse collaborations from bebop legend McCoy Tyner and electronic wunderkind Flying Lotus.

His latest album, No Beginning No End, released on the iconic Blue Note Records, fuses his interests in RnB, classic jazz, electronica and hip-hop into a sound that is both unique and forward-looking. This is set to be James' second jag Down Under, with the a sold-out Future Now show in Sydney and a Melbourne Jazz Festival already chalked up in June this year.
