The one-of-a-kind guitar went up amongst a slew of incredible punk rock memorabilia last week.
A US auction showcasing some unique pieces of punk music history ended this week, with the signature item going for an unbelievable price.
The items - put up by collector and punk producer Daniel Rey - featured instruments and collectibles from the likes of Ramones, Iggy Pop, Misfits and many more.
The star of the auction was a Mosrite Ventures II model guitar - frequently used by Johnny Ramone throughout his illustrious career with the band. The guitarist used next to no other guitar while recording and performing the classic tracks, and is still reportedly in great working condition.
In a video advertising the auction, Rey explains that he simply asked the Ramone for it when he was ready to part ways with it - and sure enough, the musician kept to his word.
"I didn't have the money to buy it at the time, so i had to sell about ten guitars from my collection - which I've never regretted," Rey said.
