John Butler Trio ProfileWA legends John Butler Trio are bursting back onto the scene with the announcement of their first new album in more than four years.
Home will be released on September 28 and is said to be “a journey of self-discovery and artistic rebirth” for Butler, while marking the band’s first album since 2014’s Flesh & Blood.
“Given the very personal subject matter of these new songs I pondered what it might mean to record in mainly a solo format for the first time ever,” he said.
The album’s title track has also been released, with Butler stating the song “scratches the surface of the emotional and sonic landscape that eventually became the bedrock of the album”.
More singles and tour announcements are expected before the full album drop in late September.
