“The campaign has been absolutely phenomenal."
Beloved Adelaide live music venue Jive will host a huge show later this month after thousands was raised to help save the space.
The Keep Jive Alive campaign - which was established to help the venue at risk of closing its doors due to the impact of the COVID pandemic - has currently raised over $60,000.
To celebrate, acts including Ben Marwe (Bad//Dreems), Ray Dalfsen (West Thebarton), Paige Court (MANE), Max Savage, Stellie, Stu Patterson (The Empty Threats) and George Alice will perform at the JIVEaoke show on 25 January.
“The campaign has been absolutely phenomenal; it’s been truly heart-warming to see the industry and community come together and throw all their support behind such a great cause," Jive owner Tam Boakes said.
"But the one thing everyone really wanted was a live show. It was really hard to pick a few bands to play, so we thought why not ask everyone, and create a true party atmosphere!
"These are all acts that have long been part of the Jive family, and it’s so exciting to see them all performing together, I honestly can’t wait for this show.”
