Damage will be followed up with a world tour.
Jimmy Eat World have announced they will release their eighth studio album mid-year, with Damage now confirmed for release through RCA/Sony Music on Friday 7 June.
The band co-produced the record with the well renowned rock musician and producer Alain Johannes (Mark Lanegan, Chris Cornell) last year in their own studio in Los Angeles. This will be the band's first LP since 2010's acclaimed record Invented and features ten brand new tracks.
A world tour kicks off next month; no Australian dates are hinted at yet but one would imagine they'll be visiting their mammoth fan base over here before long.
