“I was well looked after by all our mates, doctors and nurses and staff at St Vinnies.”
After a sudden and surprise overnight stint at St Vincents Hospital in Sydney, Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes has thanked the staff at the hospital for looking after him with a song.
Along with his wife Jane and Daughter Elly-May (and a cheeky cameo from his grandson, Dylan) Barnes gave a rousing rendition of The Beatles' With A Little Help From My Friends in dedication to the doctors and nurses.

“I had an unexpected visit to St Vincents Emergency last night - non Covid related by the way, I was just a bit crook,” he says in the video.
“I was well looked after by all our mates, doctors and nurses and staff at St Vinnies.”
Appearing on Today Extra this morning, show's host and Barnes' son David Campbell said the Cold Chisel frontman had a "stomach bug that went really, really bad" but was out of hospital within a few hours.
