After four weeks and over 180 shows, the Sydney Comedy Festival wrapped up in its usual fashion over the weekend by announcing this year's festival winners. 

Popular Aussie comedian Jim Jefferies was the big winner of the night as he took out the International Best Of The Fest award.

The Sydney-born-LA-based stand up act was awarded the gong usually given to overseas talent, however Australian artists who live overseas are also eligible. 

Melbourne comic Lawrence Mooney received the Local Best Of The Fest gong for his show, Surely Not.

Meanwhile the Best Newcomer Award was announced as a split tie between up and coming acts, Brisbane comedian, Sam Campbell and Melbourne's Corey White.

And lastly, the Director's Choice Award, decided by Festival Director Jorge Menidis, was given to Luke Heggie for his entertaining set, You're Not Special.
