Jet Working On Their First Album In Over 15 Years

Aussie rockers Jet are planning an epic comeback.

In 2025, they’ll release their first album in more than 15 years, but before that happens, fans can hear a new single called Hurry Hurry next month. For those who have seen Jet play live in the last year, you’ve likely heard them play it live, but it’s finally receiving a studio version in just a few weeks.

Hurry Hurry will be released on streaming services and an exclusive 7” vinyl—the Hurry Hurry (Australian Tour Edition). You can sign up to Jet’s mailing list to receive the digital single in your inbox at midnight on Wednesday, 8 May.

Accompanying the single on the 7” is Un’avventura, a cover of Wilson Pickett’s version of Un’avventura that Lucio Battisti performed at the 1969 Sanremo Music Festival. Sung half in English and half in Italian, the cover nods to singer Nic Cester’s 15-year stay in Italy.

Hurry Hurry will be available at each of the band’s May/June shows and can be picked up as a limited edition coloured 7” vinyl through Impressed Recordings, which fans can purchase until it’s sold out via the band’s website from Thursday, 9 May.

In a statement, the band said about their forthcoming new music, “It’s time… we’re pretty excited to tell you that we’re working on a new JET album, due for release in 2025. As a little taste of what’s to come, we’re putting out a limited edition 7” vinyl single for our fans, the song is called Hurry Hurry.

Jet toured upon the 20th anniversary of Get Born last year, and they’ve extended the tour dates to run throughout May and June. Tickets can be found on the Live Nation website.
