One special outing at the Gasometer for their Victorian fans
Revived Aussie rockers Jet will precede their upcoming slot as support act to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band with a newly announced one-off show in Melbourne.
Hitting the Gasometer Hotel on Tuesday 31 January, the Are You Gonna Be My Girl? scribes will break a more-than-six-year live hiatus to play their only headline show in the city before they head north for two headline shows at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, the first of which is already sold out.
Having recently re-issued two of their albums — their seminal debut LP, Get Born, and its successor, Shine On — Jet are riding atop the crest of a wave of resurgence behind their vintage-tinged brand of guitar-rawk, and they'll undoubtedly be looking to make up for a whole lot of missed time with their fans at these shows, so expect them to well and truly be aiming to bring their A-game for these rare dalliances in the flesh.
Around those performances, they'll be on the road with The Boss & co., with tour dates lined up in Melbourne (two shows, one sold out) as well as Mt Macedon, the Hunter Valley and Christchurch (all sold out), and, finally, Auckland, towards the end of February.
