A7X came in at #4, not far behind
Homegrown singer Jessica Mauboy is on fire for a third straight week atop the ARIA Albums Chart — last week, she stopped Lady Gaga and Michael Buble from a chart-topping debut with The Secret Daughter (Songs From The Original TV Series) and this week, metal act Avenged Sevenfold and electronic duo Empire Of The Sun are her victims, picking up #4 and #7 debuts respectively.
Avenged Sevenfold snuck into the top five as expected with the surprise drop of The Stage, while Empire Of The Sun's Two Vines peaked at #7, not quite as high as 2013's Ice On The Dune, which sat at #3. The duo also debuted at #42 on the UK Charts this week.
James Arthur rounded out the top ten debuts with his record, Back From The Edge, at #8, while Gaga's Joanne dropped down to #6.
Other debuts this week include Roy Orbison's The Ultimate Collection at #12, Kenny Chesney's Cosmic Hallelujah at #19, Tkay Maidza's debut TKAY at #20, Tove Lo's Lady Wood at #21, Testament's Brotherhood Of The Snake at #24, A$AP Mob's Cozy Tapes: Vol. 1 Friends at #50, Superheist's Ghosts Of The Social Dead at #52, Meek Mill's DC4 at #58, FRANK IERO and the PATIENCE's Parachutes at #62, Helmet's Dead To The World at #85, Memphis May Fire's This Light I Hold at #90, David Gray's The Best Of at #91, Avi Avital's Vivaldi at #93 and finally Phil Collins' The Singles at #100.
