He's touring with mates in Florida Georgia Line
US country music royalty Jason Aldean has announced the dates and venues for a set of upcoming headline shows next March, when he's in the country to tear the stage apart on his headline CMC Rocks 2016 slot.
The acclaimed Tennessee country rocker will have his latest release Old Boots, New Dirt in tow, showcasing its songs in Melbourne at Margaret Court Arena on Tuesday, 8 March and at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion on Wednesday, 9 March.
Joining Aldean on his headline stint are fellow country rock duo Florida Georgia Line, who also have their 2014 release Anything Goes along for the ride. The band and Aldean have worked together in the past, touring together last year — a song penned by the band's Tyler Hubbard is even on Aldean's 2012 album, Night Train, and they also co-wrote Burnin' It Down for Aldean.
