The full program has been unveiled
After dropping a bombshell of an announcement back in May that featured a smorgasbord of eclectic talent, Melbourne International Film Festival has released the full 2016 program.
Among the new titles are Aussie production Joe Cinque's Consolation and a number of additions to the Backbeat music sector, including fellow Aussie effort Meal Tickets alongside documentaries on Frank Zappa (Eat That Question - Frank Zappa In His Own Words), Janis Joplin (Janis: Little Girl Blue), and Miss Sharon Jones!, detailing the singer's recent battle with cancer.
With big names Louis Theroux, Bat For Lashes and Danny DeVito (just to name a few) signing on earlier this year, Michael Shannon and Imogen Poots will appear in Frank & Lola.
The 65th Melbourne International Film Festival runs from 28 July to 14 August, and you can find a comprehensive rundown of the program here.
