Jamie Lawson Pencils In Australian Headline Shows

We weren't expecting that

First revealed to us by ginger-haired songwriting phenomenon Ed Sheeran, British singer/songwriter Jamie Lawson will be heading down to Australia for an intimate run of headline shows this August.

Sheeran, who brought Lawson along on his sold-out arena shows this past March as a support act, was right about one thing: "Australia is a country that I feel would really dig Jamie."

With the platinum single Wasn't Expecting That conquering our airwaves and hitting #3 on the ARIA Singles chart, Lawson will be playing a few intimate shows with Melbourne artist Harry Hookey in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane, come Wednesday, 19 August.

Having performed with the likes of Damien Rice, Angus & Julia Stone and James Morrison, Lawson is signed to Sheeran's record label, Gingerbread Man Records.

Check out the video below, shot in Sydney while Lawson and Sheeran were touring here together.
