The album’s title is yet to be confirmed, but appears to have the acronym CWWTST. What could it stand for!?

More Ja Rule More Ja Rule

Ja Rule has teased fans with a brief update on his future musical endeavours, revealing that for the first time in more than a decade, he’s “in full album mode”.

There isn’t much more to the news – the legendary rapper (real name Jeffrey Atkins Sr.) threw us that little nugget of hype in a casual tweet – but he did use the hashtag #CWWTST, which appears to be an acronym for the album’s title (which is yet to be announced). As pointed out by HipHopDX, Atkins used it in another tweet last October, when he teased that he was “cooking up a CLASSIC”.

Atkins’ most recent studio album was Pain Is Love 2, which arrived in February of 2012 – just over ten years after the original Pain Is Love album landed in October 2021. Judging from the aforementioned hashtag, we can rule out the possibility that his upcoming eighth album will be Pain Is Love 3.

Since dropping Pain Is Love 2, Atkins has released two standalone singles: Sincerely Jeffrey and Blow (featuring Somong), both of which were released in October 2021. He also toured Australia at the start of last year, performing at the Juicy Festival in Brisbane (Meanjin), Sydney (Eora), Melbourne (Naarm) and Perth (Boorloo).

In a July 2023 interview with Business Insider, Atkins confirmed he’s hard at work on LP8. “I'm a big timing person,” he said. “And right about now is coming up due time for me, so get ready.”
