The up-and-coming rapper will play seven shows down the country's right-hand side this October
Ubiquitous Aussie indie rapper Ivan Ooze seems to be forever popping up in headlines of late, if not for supporting (or calling out) high-profile contemporaries then for any one of his recent well-received singles or as part of a growing number of festivals and other events.
You're about to see a whole lot more of him, too, with the Melburnian rhyme-smith announcing a seven-date run of shows down the east coast this October, kicking off with an under-18s show at Melbourne's Wrangler on Friday, 2 October, before heading on for 18+ shows in Adelaide (Rocket Bar, 3 October), Sydney (Brighton Up Bar, 16 October), Melbourne (The Workers Club, 23 October), Brisbane (The Brightside, 29 October) and Newcastle (This That Festival, 31 October; he'll also perform an under-18s gig the previous day, 30 October, at The Small Ballroom).
The performances come in the wake of Ivan Ooze's EP Ringwood Rich and lauded mixtape The Social Alien, as well as his experiences alongside the likes of Azealia Banks, Ice Cube, Cypress Hill and locals Seth Sentry and Dylan Joel. The tour is named in honour of third single Fire, a "bass-heavy party-starter and a step in a different direction" — but you'll have to wait just a little bit longer before you can hear it. In the interim, enjoy some classic Ivan to get you through.
Tickets for all shows are on sale as of tomorrow, and full purchase details are available at Ivan Ooze's Facebook page.
