It's bizarre to even consider a world where you couldn't catch The Simpsons on Channel Ten, but it's one we'll have to get used to following news that the network's agreement with 21st Century Fox has officially been terminated.
As Mumbrella reports, talk that the iconic animated series, as well as other Fox shows such as Modern Family, Futurama and MASH, would not return to Ten began earlier this month when the Aussie broadcaster lost the rights to the programs.
However, it has since been confirmed that Fox issued a letter of termination late last week.

"On 27 October 2017, Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation (Australia) Pty Limited (‘Fox’) issued a letter of termination in respect of the Fox Output License Agreement between Fox and Network Ten Pty Limited (Subject to Deed of Company Arrangement)(Receivers and managers appointed)," a statement reads.
"The termination was stated to be effective 6 October 2017."
The loss of The Simpsons will come as a massive loss to Australian fans as the show has been broadcast on Ten for more than 25 years.
The news comes just two months after it was announced fellow US TV giant CBS had bought Channel Ten.
