No.
The world's biggest art-metal band Tool have not released a new album in almost eight years, despite reports of them working on a new release have been circulating since way back in 2009. The band's fifth record is one of the most hotly anticipated albums, so it's understandable how a false alarm about its completion became quite a big deal.
The band's fans, who are almost scarily dedicated to the group, became well and truly worked up when reports from some of their Portland, Oregon-based peers suggested that guitarist Adam Jones had confirmed that the forthcoming fifth Tool album was finished. The reports were posted on the website Crave Online and reported in music media around the world soon after.
The band quickly responded, clarifying that Jones' comment was merely a joke and that the band have not yet finished their new record.
Last night, Adam Jones, in a private conversation with fans attending the Portland Tool concert, joked that the band's new album was not only finished but coming out the next day,” a statement issued to Rolling Stone said. “Unfortunately, his off-the-cuff joke was taken out of context. Work on the forthcoming album is ongoing and as soon as it is done, trust me, we will be the first to let everyone know."

We're sure they will get around to it one of these days. It must be nice to know people care that much, though.
In the meantime, here's one of their best known classics.
