They've made good on their promise to return to Australia, with special guests Killswitch Engage coming along for the ride.
It’s official – after teasing their return to Australia last week, British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have made good on their promise to reschedule those tour dates cancelled due to COVID-19, booking their return down under via Ed Force One in September 2024.
For fans who had tickets to the last tour and were keen to see special guests Killswitch Engage, they’re also coming as the opening act on all shows.
Since Iron Maiden last toured Australia in 2016, they’ve put out a new album, Senjutsu, in 2021. Now, fans down under can enjoy the Future Past tour and have the opportunity to hear new songs as well as celebrate every era of Maiden.
The 2024 Australian tour begins on Sunday, 1 September, at Perth’s RAC Arena before heading to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Wednesday, 4 September, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday, 6 September, the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Tuesday, 10 September, and wraps up at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Thursday, 12 September.

“We’ve really enjoyed playing all the shows on THE FUTURE PAST TOUR this year, and the reaction from our fans has been incredible,” bassist and founder Steve Harris said in a statement. “Being able to play some of these songs for the very first time has made the tour even more memorable, and we can’t wait to continue it next year.
“We’re all really excited to finally be able to return to Australia as we know our fans have waited so patiently for us over the past few years. It’s going to be great to get back there, especially with this new show. We promise you all, it’ll be worth the wait!”
Band manager Rod Smallwood added, “All our best-laid plans to bring the Legacy Of The Beast Tour to Australia were derailed by the shut-down of the live music industry during COVID, but we assured everyone at the time that we would come back to Australia and, as our fans know, we always keep to our promises.
“So, as you would imagine, we’re very much looking forward to bringing this amazing new show to the Southern hemisphere and giving our loyal Australian fans the best Maiden show we can. You can be assured it’s worth the wait. See you all in 2024!”
