Andrew Farriss' Sydney home for sale
A Sydney waterfront estate originally designed for INXS founding member Andrew Farriss is currently on the market.
The Sunday Telegraph reported that the house, which has had at least two other owners since Farriss lived in the Cottage Point home, has a price range between $4.5 million and $5 million. Estate agents LJ Hooker describe the building as “totally private” with large open plan living areas. Farriss brought in renowned architect Luigi Rosselli to design the house, which was built in 1991.
The original design has remained through subsequent owners and boasts stunning views of the Hawkesbury river, including a slipway and pontoon, a guest cottage and private sun deck.
Back in 2004 Farriss told the Sydney Morning Herald that Rosselli created, “The most sensational kitchen we've had in any home, ever. He was very keen to get ideas from [my wife] Shelley and me. So I spent two or three months, cutting out pictures that intrigued me. He's a great communicator, able to let you have your own vision. But if you don't have one, he's able to supply it.”
