EYE ON THE INDIE CHARTS...

The Jungle Giants were this week's only debut in the top twenty of AIR's singles/EP charts for independent labels with independent distribution. Their track I Am What You Want Me To Be (Amplifire/independent) came in at nineteen.

In the first piece of good indie chart news for The Cat Empire, their song Brighter Than Gold (Two Shoes/independent) climbed up the ladder from seventeen to number four this week. Once again, Flume came out on top with Holdin' On (Future Classic/independent).

The guys from The Cat Empire will be chuffed with their new album's performance this week. Steal The Light (Two Shoes/independent) debuted at number one in the top 20 albums released on independent labels through independent distribution chart. The other first-time entry was Built On Secrets with their LP The Disconnect (Independent/Shock).

Underground Lovers re-entered the chart with their album Weekend (Rubber Records) in at nineteen, with, suprisingly, the John Butler Trio making an appearance at twenty with their 2010 LP April Uprising (Jarrah/MGM).
