And that makes two.

More Illy More Illy

Aussie rapper Illy's upcoming national tour is set to be a massive affair, with the Catch 22 and Papercuts scribe selling out his impending show at the Enmore Theatre in early April.

The sell-out effort is the second to do so ahead of the Two Degrees tour after Brisbane's event at the Tivoli recently exhausted its tickets.

The wider tour kicks off on Saturday 25 March in Fremantle, and heads to Adelaide and Melbourne before hitting the final two, now sold-out, shows in Sydney and Brisbane. Spit Syndicate, Paces and Maribelle will be along for the ride in support.

The good news keeps coming for the Hottest 100-charting artist, though, as he also happens to have a super-slick new video to share with his fans ahead of the run of shows, for new track You Say When (ft. Marko Penn).

Directed by Mark Alston and shot on location in Sydney's Northern Beaches, the video "explores the dizzy highs of a new relationship and the emotional roller-coaster that ensues".

"It was cool to go in a different direction from what people are used to from the genre," Illy told The Music about making the video. "Mark really nailed the video, from the concept to the colours. He really made sitting around in soaking wet clothes for 12 hours worthwhile."

The lauded artist is keeping nicely busy abroad before he returns to Australia for the Two Degrees tour, with a slate of shows lined up in Canada on his immediate horizon — but he's already got his eyes towards the homecoming.

"The Canadian tour starts tomorrow night; it’s such a beautiful place and I've missed it, but even as cool as the next few weeks are going to be, the tour back home at the end of the month is front and centre in my (and the band’s) mind," he said. "It's sick knowing we will get back to Australia and go straight into these massive shows."
