Hitting the road next month!

More Illy More Illy

After dropping his new single Catch 22 featuring Anne-Marie today, Melbourne rapper Illy has announced his fifth studio album, Two Degrees, is set to drop next month and in support of the new LP, he'll perform three exclusive launch shows along Australia's east coast.

Produced by M-Phazes (Eminem, Kimbra), Illy's new LP, which also features double platinum single Papercuts featuring Vera Blue, is to be released on Friday, 11 November.

Touching on the forthcoming album, Illy said, "President Obama was asked whether he viewed his presidency as a success, having faced such fierce opposition throughout his two terms.

"His answer likened society to a ship, where you can’t steer 50 degrees at once, but if you move two degrees, then another two degrees, and continue like this, years later you end up in a very different place from where you began.

"And as long as you’re steering in the right direction, and progressing, your impact is made over time. This album is a celebration of moving forward, two degrees at a time."

The ARIA -Award winning artist will perform intimate shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne the week after Two Degrees' release.

Tickets for the gigs go on sale from 9am this Wednesday.
