Aussie rockers ICEHOUSE have joined the entertainment line-up for this year’s Melbourne Cup Carnival, taking to the Elms Live Stage as part of Howden Victoria Derby Day.
They join a roster of artists across electronic, pop, and R&B, with fellow Australian acts PNAU and FISHER already announced as performers, as well as UK crooner Craig David. Melbourne-based DJ and producer CYRIL will also perform ahead of PNAU’s set, while Little Fritter will warm up the crowd ahead of FISHER’s entrance. Across four days, the music programme will bring the heat to the Carnival.
ICEHOUSE will ring in the Cup Carnival for Howden Victoria Derby Day on Saturday, 1 November. PNAU will appear at the Lexus Melbourne Cup Day on Tuesday, 4 November, Craig David for Crown Oaks Day on Thursday, 6 November, and FISHER will close celebrations for TAB Champions Stakes Day on Saturday, 8 November.
In a statement, Victoria Racing Club (VRC) Executive Officer, Kylie Rogers, expressed delight with the entertainment line-up.
Rogers said, “Regarded as the world’s most vibrant horse racing event, the Melbourne Cup Carnival is a uniquely Australian celebration of sport, fashion, food, culture and entertainment. The Elms is the perfect example of this.
