Next year's list of inductees to the iconic pathway in LA were announced this morning
Hip hop icons Ice-T and Snoop Dogg, R&B/soul luminary Mary J Blige, renowned parodist 'Weird Al' Yankovic and more mainstays of the music industry will join the class of celebrities being inducted with stars of their own on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame next year.
In an announcement in Los Angeles this morning (AEST), respected TV producer Vincent 'Vin' Di Bona revealed that fellow inductees under the Recording category for 2018 include entrepreneur and philanthropist Sir Richard Branson, veteran songstress Petula Clark, the velvet-voiced Harry Connick Jr and 2005 American Idol winner Carrie Underwood.
Also among those included of a muscial bent — though not as part of the Recording list — are Idol mastermind Simon Cowell (Television) and Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda (Live Theatre).
They join a broader group of film, TV and other celebrities that include the likes of Gillian Anderson, Jack Black, Lynda Carter, Kirsten Dunst, Jeff Goldblum, Mark Hamill, Jennifer Lawrence, Shonda Rhimes, Zoe Saldana, Minnie Mouse and more. Notably, Australian conservationist and entertainer Steve Irwin will posthumously also receive a star on the Walk Of Fame next year.
