Globally venerated hip-hop legend and sometime film star Ice Cube has announced that he’ll be returning to Australia for a run of east-coast shows this December.
The tour will take in appearances at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre, Brisbane’s Eaton’s Hill, and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre from December 9-11, and serves to provide Aussie audiences with their first live taste of the freshest of rhymes from the veteran rapper’s most recent album, Everythang’s Corrupt.
As well, if prior visits are any indication, you can expect appearances from the full catalogue of Cube classics, including Check Yo’ Self, It Was A Good Day, You Can Do It, Go To Church, Hello, Smoke Some Weed, Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It and seminal tracks from his days with incendiary rap-game trailblazers NWA including Fuck Tha Police and Straight Outta Compton.
Tickets for Ice Cube’s 2014 December Australian tour will go on sale at 9am next Thursday, July 31, via Metropolis Touring. They’ll set you back a cool $79+bf.
