The Irish Independent reports that Ian Watkins is currently on suicide watch five times an hour while he prepares to stand trial in Wales after being arrested on alleged child sex charges, as well as 22 other sex offences in November.
The Irish Independent reported that, "a clinical psychologist suggested the singer receive anti-psychotic medication, and recommended he be moved from Parc prison in Bridgend to a psychiatric hospital."
Watkins' defence barrister Sally O'Neill also commented on this, saying:
“He has been seen by a clinical psychologist and she believes he should be receiving anti-psychotic medication… She wants him to be taken to a secure hospital for assessment and treatment.”
“He is on suicide watch five times an hour.”
Watkins has been remanded in custody until October 14 along with two co-accused females.
