Disgraced musician Ian Watkins has failed in an attempt to have his 35-year prison sentence reduced.
The singer endeavoured to appeal the duration of the previously given incarceration period this week.
Wales Online reports:
“Although the 36-year-old is not challenging his 13 sex offence convictions at today's hearing, the disgraced rock star believes he was too harshly sentenced by judge Mr Justice Royce. Watkins was handed a minimum 29-year jail term, as well as an additional six years on licence.”
Subsequently, a later update from the news publication informed readers of the court’s decision:
“Outlining their reasons for refusing leave for either Watkins or Woman B to appeal, the Court of Appeal judges said the crimes were "of such shocking depravity that a very lengthy prison sentence was demanded".
