Human Nature cancel.
A surprise press conference was held by Victoria's Acting Premier Jacinta Allen this afternoon to announce the state would be closing its border to NSW as the latest COVID outbreak in Sydney worsens.
With Victoria closing its border at 11.59pm on January 1, it has meant that Human Nature have had to cancel their upcoming headline show at Melbourne's iconic Sidney Myer Music Bowl.
The gig was a part of a series of outdoor shows planned to get Melbourne punters back to gigs as post-lockdown restrictions are slowly eased in the state.
Just minutes after the border closure announcement, the venue posted the cancellation message on their website, stating: "Arts Centre Melbourne sadly informs fans that Human Nature’s Live At The Bowl upcoming performance on Saturday, January 9 will be cancelled due to restrictions between Sydney NSW and Victoria due to the current COVID-19 outbreaks impacting travel.
"The group have only just reunited with band member Toby Allen who complied with Qld Health regulations and isolated for 14 days in Brisbane after only clearing Perth quarantine two weeks earlier and tested negative.
"Human Nature send their deepest apologies to their Melbourne fans and any fans traveling to this event and look forward to returning to the Arts Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall for their Good Good Life show on Friday September 10, 2021."
