Get ready to be excited musical lovers, because Aussie superstar Hugh Jackman has just topped the first ARIA Album chart of the year with the soundtrack to his latest movie, The Greatest Showman.
The soundtrack has moved up from #8 in last week's chart to take out the #1 spot. Don't worry too much about Ed Sheeran, he's still doing okay with ÷ (Divide) sitting pretty at #2. Pink's Beautiful Trauma is holding strong at #3. Eminem's latest, Revival, sits at #4, and Taylor Swift holds out at #5 with reputation.
Local lads King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard kick the year off right with their latest, Gumboot Soup, debuting at #6. Notably, this is the only debut to take a place in the Top 40 chart this week.
The Pitch Perfect 3 soundtrack takes out #7, Sam Smith's The Thrill Of It All is at #8, Imagine Dragon's Evolve is at #9, while Post Malone's Stoney rounds out the Top 10.

Post Malone's I Fall Apart, Marshmello x Khalid's Silence, Post Malone's Rockstar (ft. 21 Savage), Bebe Rexha & Florida Georgia Line's Meant To Be, NF's Let You Down, Selena Gomez & Marshmello's Wolves, and Portugal. The Man's Feel It Still round out the Top 10.
Keala Settle & The Greatest Showman Ensemble debut at #34 with This Is Me from The Greatest Showman soundtrack. Much like with the Albums chart, This Is Me is the only new debut in the Top 40 for the week.
