Hozier Adds New Show To Australian Tour

Hozier’s first Australian tour in five years has been met with “staggering” demand, according to tour promoters Live Nation, with a second Melbourne show already added to his Australian tour.

The Irish musician was already set to perform at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Tuesday, 12 November, but due to demand – already down to “low tickets” – Live Nation have added another Hozier show at the same venue on Wednesday, 13 November.

With the addition of the new Melbourne show, the Take Me To Church singer will now perform eight concerts in Australia.

Hozier will begin his Unreal Unearth Australian tour at Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday, 6 November, before heading to Adelaide’s The Drive (Friday, 8 November), SummerSalt festival in Torquay (Sunday, 10 November), Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena (Friday, 15 November), SummerSalt in the Hunter Valley (Saturday, 16 November), and wraps up at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Monday, 18 November.

Tickets to all Hozier shows are on sale now via the Live Nation Australia website. The singer will be joined by special guest Joy Oladokun.

Hozier is touring in support of his third album, Unreal Unearth, released last August.

In an interview with The Music's Carley Hall, Hozier said of the broad scope of themes explored in Unreal Unearth:

Sometimes, they can be personal reflections, or maybe, at times, deeply personal reflections or experiences of past experiences. But once it's once it's done, and once it's out in the world, it also belongs to everyone else. And the way I view it is if something resonates with you, it most likely is going to resonate with somebody else.
