Press Release:
2011 has already been a busy year for Hostage Calm, and its shaping up to stay that way. After the release of their critically acclaimed self-titled LP in July 2010, they have been touring non-stop with the likes of Transit, Tigers Jaw, O’Pioneers, among others.
Fresh off the heels of their first trip to Europe with Run For Cover label mates Basement, Hostage Calm will embark on a short April run with Daytrader. Hostage Calm is then doing select dates with political punk band Anti-Flag and dates with the legendary Hot Water Music, which also features with support from Fireworks and Make Do and Mend. In between, the band will perform at the first Krazyfest in eight years. The reincarnation of Krazyfest will feature sets from 7 Seconds, Against Me, Cave In, Chamberlin, Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music as well as many more.
Singer Chris Martin explain what it means to be playing with so many influential bands: “It’s definitely an honor to play with all of these epic bands. A lot of them are bands that inspired us to play ourselves. The best thing about Krazy Fest is seeing this core of rising contemporary bands playing alongside punk staples all in the same place.”
Following the spring run, the band will release a brand new single as part of the Run For Cover single series in July as well as dates with veterans Senses Fail and others yet to be announced.
