40 beautiful bovines designed by a range of top designers will inundate Perth for six weeks
Perth is to be invaded by a massive herd of arty cows. Yes, you read that sentence correctly. The CowParade Perth 2016, claims to be the world’s largest public art event and will feature 40 life-sized fibreglass cows sporting unique designs.
Many of the bovine sculpture will be individually customised by Western Australia’s most exciting fashion designers including Poppy Lissiman, Ae’lkemi, Empire Rose, Elle Campbell, Megan Salmon and Katherine Dunmill.
Also, impressive roll call of acclaimed visual artists, with creative backgrounds spanning a huge range of disciplines including sculpture, urban art, painting, drawing and mixed media, will be really milking their imaginations to present vivid and unique variations on this beefy theme. These include Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Arif and Audrey Satar, Liam Dee, Olga Cironis, Paul Caporn and Peter Ellis, Elizabeth Marruffo, Gregory Pryor, Peter Farmer, Alister Yiap, Penny Coss and Helen Smith, plus many more.
The herd arrives in town on 31 Oct for six weeks.
