The veteran US stoner metal band will be joined by luminaries from across the local scenes for their trip in July
As High On Fire's national July tour - which was announced back in March - draws ever nearer, the California-bred stoner metal icons have revealed the lucky local bands that will step into support-slot shoes for the trip's performances.
The first acts to grace stages alongside High On Fire, in Brisbane on July 16, will be local rockers Shellfin and Smoke; the second Brisbane show, on July 17, will be supported by Zodiac and stoner/doom outfit Lizzard Wizzard.
The next evening, at Perth's Rosemount Hotel, the West Australian heaviness will be brought courtesy of doom blues outfit The Devil Rides Out, alongside Scalphunter, who recently launched their video for recent single There Will Be Change.
When the tour heads back through to Victoria for July 19's show at Melbourne's Hi-Fi, the support role will be filled by the unrelenting cacophony of High Tension and Horsehunter, while Canberra's I Exist and Sydneysiders Gvrlls will step up for Sydney's Factory Theatre show on July 20.
