Aunty Meredith is waiting for you.

Meredith Music Festival has given the all clear for 2018 patrons to attend this weekend's festival despite bush fire threats in the surrounding area.

In a statement released to their website last night, the festival has advised that while attendees may be able to see or smell smoke in the area, that it is safe for them to attend.

"In response to a fire in Scotsburn on Thursday afternoon we took a precautionary measure to delay Early Entrants’ travel plans to the Meredith Supernatural Amphitheatre," it reads.

"Anyone with Early Entry accreditation is now welcome. Our team are available 24 hours tonight to assist those arrivals. All ticket-holders are welcome as usual from 8am Friday (December 7). You may see or smell smoke in the area. If you are asthmatic please take all usual steps and present early to First Aid if you have any concerns. If you would like more information about the Scotsburn fire visit VICEmergency. We look forward to hosting you for the 28th Meredith."

The festival has since taken to Twitter today to share that certain parts of the campsite will remain closed until later this afternoon until a cool change comes through.
