More Johnny Cash More Johnny Cash

In collaboration with renowned creative institution Love Police, local champions of music, General Admission Entertainment, are proud to present Cash: A Journey Through The American Recordings.

This powerful live show stars acclaimed country-rock singer-songwriter Henry Wagons, backed by folky blue-grass Americana outfit The Tennessee Studs.

Cash: A Journey Through The American Recordings will debut at the Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival, South Australia’s biggest independent festival, this June. The acclaimed production honours Johnny Cash's raw, reflective, and deeply moving late-career recordings, made with legendary producer Rick Rubin.

Throughout his storied career, Henry Wagons has released seven albums, been nominated for multiple ARIA Awards, and received an AIR Award.

After what is sure to be a hit show in June, the production will be hitting the road in October for a run of lucky South Australian venues. Wagons refers to this as his “passion project,” explaining, “Johnny Cash’s The American Recordings series is what first inspired me to play country music!!”

This is a lovely full-circle moment for Wagons, who couldn’t be more well-suited to playing tribute to the smooth-talking bass-baritone legend.
