"I am strong/I am invincible/I am woman."
Two months out from its Australian release date, Transmission Films has released the official trailer for the new Helen Reddy biopic, I Am Woman.
Following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last September, the film will be released in Australia on 21 May.
I Am Woman tells the story of the Melbourne-born singer who "arrived in New York in 1966, virtually broke and a single mother of a toddler, before she went on to become one of the most successful recording artists of her generation".
Her song I Am Woman became the anthem of the women's movement in the 1970s.
Tilda Cobham-Hervey (Hotel Mumbai, 52 Tuesdays) stars as Reddy, alongside names like Evan Peters (X-Men, Deadpool 2) as Reddy's manager and husband, Jeff Wald and Danielle Macdonald (Patti Cake$, Bird Box) as journalist Lilian Roxon.

"Tilda Cobham-Hervey – breath taking as Helen Reddy – is a revelation in this role, confirming that she is a star of the now, rather than the future," Transmission Films' Andrew Mackie said when the first-look trailer was released last year.
"[Director] Unjoo Moon has given us a film of great emotion, scale and contemporary resonance.
"We can't wait for Australian audiences to enjoy this incredible true story of an Australian icon who conquered the world."
